"A practical book on the training and management of sheep dogs" The smooth, efficient movement of flocks of sheep is an integral part of the great chain of pastoral activity which supplies wool to the mills and meat to the food shops around the world. The sheep dog plays a part on the assembly line of this industry which is second only to that of the flock masters and shepherds themselves. Indeed it might well be claimed that the value of well trained dogs matches, if it does not actually exceed, that of the men behind them.
