Hamons drawings are not from the nature that was all around him, but from the seemingly inexhaustible store of mental photographs impressed on his mind while he worked and lived in the bush. The earlier results of his drawing were remarkable - but even more remarkable were the giant strides he made in technique over a few short years. That his work is brilliant, and continues to improve is apparent in this further collection of his work, which includes his latest effort at the time of printing.
