Large hardback in very good condition, a little bumping to corners and edges, no inscriptions, light foxing to end-papers, minor marks. Wonderful full page colour illustrations by Georgina Hargreaves.

Contains references to and images of Mister Blacky the golliwog and Chinky the pixie. (The name was later changed to Binky and the golly character changed to another toy). Mollie and Peter have a wonderful Wishing-Chair which they keep in their playroom at the bottom of the garden. While they are at Boarding School their pixie friend Chinky looks after it for them; but in the holidays the Chair grows wings and takes them on trips to all sorts of odd places.
