The stories of 'A Man from the Ministry' are set mainly in the 1950's, describing the conditions then in the South Pacific, tales of hurricanes, small sailing boats and early flying, mixed with a warship, an icebreaker, and USN helicopters. The tales include the creation of Scott Base in Antarctica and the preservation of the historic huts of Shakleton and Scott. 160 pages, illustrated.
