Publisher: Cincinnati : Moore, Wilstach, Keys & Co. 1861. Hardback. Binding is firm. Presumed leather covers are rubbed, bumped, marked, creased, and chipped with wrinkling to back cover. Gilt titles and design to spine and front & rear cover. Paper has some loss inside back cover. Some medical newspaper cutting have been pasted to end papers and inside front board. Pages are foxed, marked and creased with some damp stains. Some of the illustrations still have tattered tissue guards. P337 has a large horizontal closed tear but text is still legible. p 913 has a vertical tear from top edge with atiny hole so that a word is missing. There are some hand written notes written on rear end papers.
