Good hardback in faux leather, pages have gilt coloured edges, boards are rubbed, bumped and marked, pages have some minor creases and marks, a couple of pages have a small closed tear to edge. Owner's name on front cover and to ffep, is Thomas Somerville who appears in the book on p366 (this page has a an approx 4cm closed tear.)

New Zealanders As We See 'em in Cartoons and Caricatures is a handsome volume of black and white work published by the New Zealand Cartoonists' Association in 1937. The preface notes that this book could be considered 'The Cartoonists' Who's Who of New Zealanders' and features 438 portraits combining photos with pen and ink work. Doctor's, lawyers, politicians and businessmen are featured throughout the book with text describing occupations and recreational activities.
