One man's World War II, seen through the camera lens of gunner Struan MacGibbon, an excellent photographer who sometimes acted as official photographer for the units he served with. He was also a diligent diarist who wrote diary entries on all but four days of the 1,188 days he spent in North Africa and the Middle East, in and out of action. The diaries give a vivid account of the day-to-day business of being a soldier.
