Condition of both books: Blue cloth with gilt titles to front cover and spine, binding firm, no inscriptions, marks to covers, some compression to spine ends, light rubbing to edges. Foxing mainly to first and last few pages, margins and edges. Tissue guard to frontispiece is tanned. Pages are uneven with rough cut edges, slight splitting to paper at inner hinges. Vol II - the foldout map has a closed tear to inner margin. Vol I - the foldout map has a closed tear to inner margin that goes about 3cm into the actual map.
