A classic Victorian pocket miniature Bible issued by Her Majesty's Printers. This specific volume showcases the highly sought-after Gothic gift binding design of the mid-to-late 19th century, featuring brass accents over red leather.

• Binding & Hardware: Bound in original full smooth red leather (morocco/roan). The front board features a full protective gilt-brass rim enclosing a prominent raised central brass plaque engraved with "Holy Bible". The original closure clasp is broken, with only a small portion of the attachment remaining on the front rim. The rear board lacks its original edge trim. Leather surfaces show typical uniform aging, marks and rubbing. The brass is dulled.
• Spine: Displays distinct creasing.
• Interior: All edges gilt (dulled/age-toned down from original brilliance). Text block contains large creases to a number of page corners, minor occasional foxing/age-spotting, and light chipping to some fragile page margins. No inscriptions, a section of pages near the middle stand out from the rest and have chipped edges which makes an untidy, uneven closed edge.
Rear paper paste-down shows a surface crease and a couple of small holes, last page has a tiny hole and tear to inner margin. 
• Overall a Fair to Good (Collector's Curio Copy). A weathered but deeply charming artefact of late-Victorian domestic devotional history, highly desirable for its scarce red binding.
