New Zealand Official Year-Book 1911 Vintage

Vintage 1911 NZ Official Year-Book. (With 3 Intact Maps)

An antique copy of the 1911 New Zealand Official Year-Book.

This historic volume provides an incredibly detailed window into pre-WWI New Zealand society, documenting the country's population, industrial expansion, and municipal development under the early Dominion era.
This is the original Octavo edition bound in premium brown buckram boards, featuring ornate black decorative borders and clear gilt lettering to the front cover and spine.

• Maps: Very Good. Unlike many salvaged copies from this era, this volume includes all three major maps intact: the North Island map, the South Island map, and the highly sought-after folding Mean Annual Rainfall map. All maps remain in clean, bright, and very good condition.

• Exterior: The cloth boards are rubbed, bumped, and marked from age. The corners and spine ends show standard heavy shelf wear with minor fraying to the cloth. The rear bottom corner is quite compressed, which has affected the structure of the internal pages.
• Interior & Binding: The binding remains firm and tight. There are no owner inscriptions or names written inside. The text block shows light natural tanning and light foxing to the endpapers and the closed page edges.
• Page Damage: Due to the compressed rear corner, approximately one third of the book's internal pages feature deep, permanent corner creasing at the bottom. Additionally, a specific sequence of about 20 of these heavily creased pages also display creases to their top corners.
