ONE of the highlights of the Boyle family reunion in Invercargill was the launching of a biography of Emeritus Bishop Len Boyle called The Good Shepherd, the book was written by Claire Ramsay. It details the life story of Bishop Len, a Nightcaps boy who was a farmer, freezing worker and shearer before entering the Holy Cross seminary at Mosgiel to study for the priesthood. He decided to dedicate his life to God and was ordained a priest at St Thomas Church, Winton in 1961, aged 31.
