Some are based on his own experiences out on our vast and beautiful mountains hunting deer, and other times down on the flats searching out rabbits and geese. Then again there’s stories of how things used to be, learning skills, farm life and survival skills. Along with his own stories, this time he has included the experiences of friends and other family members. The ‘call of the wild’ runs in the family it seems and so their stories add yet another flavour to this book which should stir up the senses for those outdoors-loving Kiwis who also enjoy reading of others’ escapades.
