Published for the 100th anniversary of the provision of hospital services in Wellington, this volume is the definitive work on the history of early health care in Wellington. It also contains useful historic lay-out information of both the Wellington and Hutt Hospital sites in the mid-20th century. In Wellington's case, many of these buildings were still present up until the early 2000s when a major redevelopment took place. The author also gifted a considerable number of photographs to Wellington City Libraries.
