"Economic Geology of New Zealand" was first published in 1965 and edited and largely written by G. J. Williams as part of the Eighth Commonwealth Mining and Metallurgical Congress. It incorporates geological data, including extensive unpublished material from the New Zealand Geological Survey and other agencies, to detail the country's mineral resources and economic geology. The book also became the T. J. McKee Memorial Volume and was published in 1974 by the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
