Originally printed published in 1879. An account of two English boys in Otago New Zealand from 1859 to 1867. The text was expanded from a contemporary diary. It gives a good account of Papakaio, Omarama, and other runs at the period of the gold rush giving an interesting insight of the hard work, rough conditions they encountered.
