Thunderball by Fleming, Ian. (1961)

Thunderball by Fleming, Ian.

Publisher: The Book Club, London, 1961.

1961 First Book Club Edition of Ian Fleming's ninth James Bond novel, featuring the first appearance of Ernst Stavro Blofeld and SPECTRE. Complete with original dust jacket.

Bound in publisher’s original blue cloth boards. Minimal, light compression to spine ends and corners. Features a neat, contemporary previous owner name and address inscribed on the front free endpaper (ffep) and inside front board. Beyond this, pages are very good. Binding is square and tight throughout. A very nice copy.
Original jacket is not price-clipped (retaining the 15s. 0d net price on the front flap). Displays minor, honest edge-wear and some faint surface marks to panels, but remains remarkably bright with no major tears or loss. Overall, a highly attractive and collectible example of vintage Bondiana.
