Initially a Trooper with the 2nd New Zealand Divisional Cavalry Regiment, Yaxley saw service in the Middle East and North Africa with the 8th Army, and is a confirmed member of “A” New Zealand Squadron, Long Range Desert Group, serving in Captain C.K. ‘Charlie’ Saxton’s T1 Patrol.
Binding firm, some minor rubbing and bumping to edges, no owner inscriptions, light foxing to first and last few pages and closed edges, pages very good, minor marks, light creasing, foxing spot to edge of last few pages.
Jacket has some minor marks, chipping, rubbing, creasing, and closed tears, fading to spine area. Some loss to top of spine, piece torn off top of back section. In clear plastic removable cover.
