Publisher: Fine Arts (N.Z.) Ltd., Wellington, 1930, first edition.

An exceptionally scarce collection of early New Zealand poetry and prose reflecting on Maori lore and native bushland. This beautifully produced volume features a historic foreword by Sir Maui Pomare and is illustrated throughout with seven exquisite reproductions of original etchings by the legendary New Zealand artist Trevor Lloyd.

Good hardback with dust jacket.
Original cloth boards show light rubbing, bumping to the extremities, and minor surface marks. Binding remains intact. Internally foxed throughout the text block. There is a tear to the internal corner of the title page, but no text or artwork is lost. No previous owner inscriptions or markings.
Collated complete with all 7 full-page Trevor Lloyd illustration plates (including the frontispiece) fully present and in Good, clean condition.
The scarce original dust jacket is in poor condition, split into two halves along the spine fold. Now in removable cover. Shows overall marking, rubbing, and chipping, with approximately 2.5cm of loss to the middle of the spine area and some additional loss to the top of the spine.
