Excellent hardback with good jacket. Front board has a couple of marks, small sellotape mark to ffep. No inscriptions, pages are very good. Jacket is chipped and marked with some closed tears, some minor fading, and small loss to top of spine.

Peter McIntyre, who was New Zealand's official war artist during the Second World War, had a holiday home in Kakahi and produced a number of paintings of the settlement and the wider area. They were reproduced in his 1972 book Kakahi New Zealand. Full page colour paintings.
