Very good hardcover with jacket. Small dent to back board, sellotape inside boards where jacket has been attached, light foxing to end-papers, inscription has been covered over on title page with black printing.
Jacket has been covered with laminate and has some chipping to spine and edges, closed tear on flap.
Peter McIntyre, who was New Zealand's official war artist during the Second World War, had a holiday home in Kakahi and produced a number of paintings of the settlement and the wider area. They were reproduced in his 1972 book Kakahi New Zealand.
