A memoir of intelligence work during World War II. The author, who spoke both French and English, spent time in Vichy France, Britain, Spain, and Algeria during the war. First published in French as Un Nomme Langdon. When George Langelaan escaped from France by way of Dunkirk, plastic surgeons reshaped his face-so that he could be parachuted back as a secret agent. This tells of what happened when, after thorough training, he took up his grim and exciting task.
