This is the second volume of the autobiography of James West Stack, the celebrated authority on the South Island Maori. Covers the period 1845 to 1859. Stack was born at a Maori pa in 1835, the son of James Stack who, under the influence of Samuel Marsden, had come over from Sydney more than ten years previously. 256 pages with maps and illustrations.
