Fair hardback with no jacket, green cloth boards with gilt titles and decoration, fold-out map in good condition, mounted photo of author is missing.
Possibly an ex-library copy as there are some abrasions to title page and the top of some other pages where some writing has been erased. First and last end-papers appear to have been glued down to paste-downs.
Paper split at rear internal hinges and binding a little pulled in a couple places but binding firm, some rubbing, chipping, bumping, fading and marks, creasing and slight lean to spine, some foxing, creasing, chipping and marks to pages, small closed tear to top of one page.
