Good hardback with no jacket, binding firm, some rubbing, bumping and marks, spine ends and edges are worn, chipped and frayed, creases on spine, no inscriptions, light foxing and tanning, Contents page and Illustrations page have been joined at edge and caused a tear when separated, pages have rough edges, minor marks, dark foxing at edges, all illustrations and tissue guards complete, except there is no tissue guard for the facsimile of a letter (but might not have been one as is it is not a photo like the rest). All the photos are heavily foxed at the edges. 531 pages, illustrated.
